Video System Design & Installation Services
Here at Element 29, we provide video system installation services across the whole of London. We can assist with the design, supply and installation of many different types of video systems.
From multi room video systems that allow you to watch various video sources, such as satellite/cable TV receivers, in multiple locations throughout a property, to a video projection system that recreates the ‘cinema experience’.
Designing and installing bespoke video systems for a property requires careful consideration of the client’s needs and preferences.
Video System Installation Process
The first step is to understand where & how the client would like to watch the video system and what content they would like to access, such as streaming services, a digitised video library, cable/satellite/aerial-based TV services, and more.
Based on these conversations, it is then possible to determine the best system to install, whether it be a single TV, large format display or projector in 4K or 8K, or a multi-room video system that allows centralised video sources to be watched in different spaces around the property. It is also important to consider the type of video system being installed within a space to ensure that it works with the overall design scheme, fits within any construction, and meets any space restrictions. This could include video projection screens in manual or motorised form, recessed or surface mount options, frame or mirror TVs, or even outdoor TVs. Future Automation offers a variety of mounting solutions that can help conceal wires and cables for a clean, streamlined look.
For cinema or media rooms, it may be appropriate to consider moving panel mechanisms that allow the TV or projection screen to be hidden when not in use, or TV lifts that raise the TV up from a cabinet or other location. Video walls can also be an impressive addition to a space, allowing for a large, seamless display of video content.
Understanding how the client would like to control the installed video system is very important and could include an app for phone and/or tablet, a dedicated in-wall or table top control panel for a control system or voice control.
Plan the Wiring
Once the system and display type have been decided, detailed cabling schematics and annotated layouts must be produced to ensure that any required construction or electrical works are undertaken during the building process. This helps to avoid any issues later on when the property is almost complete. Depending on the complexity of the video system, it may be necessary to run multiple cables, such as HDMI, ethernet (CAT-6A), and power cables.
Installing the Video System
TVs, projectors, video sources and any other associated equipment will be installed by our fully trained engineers, followed by a commissioning process to ensure that all video systems are working to their full capacity. In some cases, this may involve using in-depth display calibration software to achieve the best possible picture quality.
Brands We Work With
Some of the key brands that are often used in high-end video systems include Bang & Olufsen, Control4, Crestron, Crestron Home and Future Automation. Some of the other brands we supply include Wyrestorm, Netvio, Sony, Samsung, JVC, Epson and Projecta.
