The best in home security? — The Ring X Line

As Dorothy once said, there’s no place like home, so keeping your home and family safe is likely one of your top priorities. But cameras, motion-detecting floodlights and door access panels are bulky, ugly, and only for industrial setups, right? Not any more. Now, with the latest series of top quality security products from Ring, your home can be safe, with innovative new designs that remain discreet.

Ring X Line

Ring is a global automation brand that’s synonymous with the video doorbell market, offering customers a quick and easy way to view who’s at their door by simply unlocking their phone and navigating to the app. But, their original security measures were limited to doorstep-facing cameras and relied on battery power to maintain their live image.

This is where the new X Line comes in. Releasing in September 2020, this all-in-one customisable range allows us to build and install comprehensive professional security systems with the convenience of Ring’s original products. But, with the added benefits of reliable wired connections and a more extensive range of accessories, the X Line gives our clients even more choice when it comes to protecting their home.

Tap, tap, secure.

The Ring X Line is more than just a reliable and professional-grade security system. It’s a top-of-the-line user-friendly application that gives our clients even more control over their accessories, allowing you to use them in a multitude of different ways.

For no additional cost, clients can receive motion-activated notifications right to their phone, get a real-time view from all of their cameras in one place, and even activate two-way audio to communicate with guests or delivery people with the tap of a button.

If you’re looking for more smart features, then you’ll be pleased to know that each X Line product comes with a Lifetime Protect Basic subscription, giving you access to a range of premium features — like storing your Ring videos on Ring’s cloud servers for thirty days, so you can go back and see all the moments you missed on your feed. Spot something important? You can screenshot your videos during key moments, and even download your clips to keep for a lifetime.

And, if you’re after the ultimate peace of mind, the Protect Plus package comes with all the previous benefits, as well as mobile-phone backups, an extended warranty, and assisted monitoring, with automated calls when your Ring Alarm detects a security issue.

Ring compatibility

Using a smart home setup that consists of Crestron or Control4? If you’d like to integrate home security with either of these systems, then Ring might not be for you. Unfortunately, when it comes to compatibility, Ring’s smooth, easy-to-use, and high-quality ecosystem faces possibly its only downside. At the time of writing this, we’re not able to have the Ring X Line products work inside of your existing smart home control system setup.

There are also a couple of limitations when it comes to Ring products. While they’re not likely to affect the majority of Ring users, if you’re looking to cover a much larger area, like a country estate, then Ring cameras may not be able to provide the coverage you’re looking for.

If you’d like a CCTV system, with touch panels, TV links, and dedicated onsite recording that could work alongside Crestron and Control4, we have other options that you can find out more about here, and here.

But, if you’re searching for an all-inclusive security system for a single home that’s easy to use, provides HD-quality images, and stores all of your most important clips in the cloud, then the Ring X Line is possibly the best option on the market right now.
